Iko Nini started as a question — the same one people ask each other every day on the streets of Nairobi. Iko nini? What's really good? What's the word?
Iko Nini Podcast was born in 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. With the world slowing down and people searching for new ways to stay connected, DJ ZaQ approached Mwafreeka with the idea of creating a podcast that would entertain, inform, and spark authentic conversations.
What started as a simple idea during an uncertain time quickly evolved into one of Kenya's most engaging podcast platforms. The goal was to create a space where no topic was off limits, from current affairs and relationships to entertainment, business, and everyday life, while giving listeners conversations they could genuinely relate to.
Today, Iko Nini is a weekly podcast covering Kenyan entertainment, politics, and everything in between. Real conversations, real people, no filter. Whether we're breaking down the news or trading stories with guests, the mission stays the same: keep it raw, keep it uncut.
